How your daily spending limit is calculated

Your daily spending limit is the amount left over after covering fixed expenses and setting aside your savings target — divided by the number of days in the month.

Formula: Daily limit = (Income − Fixed expenses − Savings) ÷ Days in month

This is your discretionary daily budget — what you can spend on food, transport, entertainment, and anything else without affecting your fixed obligations or savings goals.

Why knowing your daily limit helps

Monthly budgets are hard to follow in real time. "I have ₹15,000 for discretionary spending this month" is an abstract number that's hard to apply when you're deciding whether to order food at 7pm on a Tuesday.

"I have ₹500 to spend today" is concrete. It fits naturally into daily decision-making. Knowing your daily limit makes budgeting something you can apply in the moment — not just review at the end of the month.
